What to photograph

Someone asked you to get pictures of this building’s water meter. Flumera uses them to check the meter for wasted water spend — three photos, or one short video, and you’re done. Nothing to fill in.

A phone photo is enough — no special equipment, no perfect lighting, no retakes for quality.

Photo 1 of 3 — The meter face

Flip the register lid up and wipe the glass with a thumb or rag, then get close enough that the digits fill the frame and keep them level. Brace yourself against something — the room is dark.

Photo 2 of 3 — The pipe run into the property

Step back and shoot the pipe on the property side of the meter with the space around it — that answers where the valve can go, the distance to the first flange, and whether anything needs excavating.

Stand back far enough that the meter and the space around it share the frame — it's how we judge access before anyone visits.

One video covers all three

Start recording and hold steady on the meter for about two seconds — the first moments are the blurriest. Then walk backward along the pipe run, and about ten feet back, pan the room. One continuous take.
